Velma Bourque 1907 - 2002 SCOUDOUC, NB - Velma Bourque, 94, wife of Albénie Bourque of Scoudouc passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2002 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton. Born September 15, 1907 in Memramcook, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Gaudet and Marie Landry. She was a member of the Golden Age Club in Scoudouc and loved knitting, crocheting and quilting. Velma was married for 70 years to her husband Albénie. She is also survived by her two daughters, Ella Poirier (Ulysse) of Grande-Digue and Marie Lannigan (Patrick) of Angus, Ont.; a son Maurice (Rose-Marie) of Scoudouc; a sister Evelyne Caissie of Moncton; a brother Léo (Angela) of Scoudouc; 13 grandchildren, Marie-Marthe, Maurice, Murielle, Emile, Gerald, Cecile, Elise, Patrick Jr., Gerard, Shawn, Janice, Daniel, Gilles; and 17 great-grandchildren: Joanne, Carole, Lynn, Mathieu, Christopher, Joshua, Holly, Julie, Johnny J., Shawn J., Sarah, Michael, Kelcy, Mathew, Isable, Remi, Emily and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister Dorilla Leger and a brother Amedée Gaudet. Resting at Frenette Funeral Home, 396 Main Street, Shediac (532-3297) with visitation on Thursday from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm and Friday from 9:30am until time of departure at 10:40am The funeral mass will be held at 11am on Friday, July 12, 2002 at St-Jacques-le-Majeur Roman Catholic Church in Scoudouc. Interment in the Parish Cemetery.
